Notice Regarding Saved Image Size for instax Pal 2™ Images in the instax Pal™ App
Thank you for using instax Pal 2™.
We have identified an issue where images captured at 10 MP and transferred using "Transfer via USB Type-C"*1 are saved as 1 MP images when "No Frame"*2 is selected in the instax Pal™ app.
Images transferred using "Transfer via USB Type-C" and saved with "No Frame" are intended to be saved at the same resolution as the transferred image. However, images captured at 10 MP*3 are currently saved as 1 MP.
We are working on an app update to address this issue and plan to release the fix in late October 2026.
After updating to the latest version of the instax Pal™ app, images transferred using "Transfer via USB Type-C" can be saved at the same resolution as the transferred image when "No Frame" is selected.*4
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience until the update becomes available.
Thank you for your continued support of instax™.
*1 When using "Transfer via USB Type-C", images are transferred to the app at the resolution set in the camera. When using "Transfer via Bluetooth", compressed images (1 MP) are transferred to the app.
*2 "No Frame" is a function that saves transferred images at their original resolution.
*3 Image resolution can be configured using the "IMAGE SIZE" setting on the instax Pal 2™ camera (default setting: 10 MP).
*4 After the update, images that have not been edited can be saved at the transferred image resolution by selecting "No Frame". For edited images, users can choose either "Original Image" or "Edited Image". If "Edited Image" is selected and saved with "No Frame", the image will be saved at 1 MP.
